Since our founding in 1972, our operation has grown from modest roots into a team of highly skilled machinists operating both modern and vintage equipment to deliver quality, speed, and reliability.
In more than 5 decades of satisfying customers across a broad array of industries—including automotive OEMs and aftermarket component makers, appliances, electronics, prototyping, custom fabrication, and much more—there’s almost nothing our experienced machinists haven’t encountered! Customers count on us for excellent work that meets exact specifications and arrives on schedule, and we take that responsibility very seriously. Our Team, Facilities, and Equipment
Our 24,000 square foot facility is located in Dexter, Michigan—just outside Ann Arbor, 50 miles west of Detroit and 25 miles east of Jackson—our headquarters is conveniently situated off I‑94 along key supply chain routes in Southeast Michigan’s manufacturing corridor. Although we primarily serve the Dexter, Ann Arbor, and Chelsea area, we’ve grown over the years from a small local shop to a modern facility with a wide range of equipment and a highly-skilled team of machinists with valued customers throughout Southeast Michigan and all across the Midwest.
Come by any time and you’ll find a unique operation that, alongside modern standards like 3-axis and 4-axis milling machines, lathes, saws, grinders, etc., also includes some fairly rare vintage equipment. Those classic machines are built on rugged cast iron frames, which can often absorb vibration better than some of the newer machines for more stability and control under heavy cuts leading to smoother finishes.
In the hands of an experienced machinist, like the talented folks you’ll find here at Stillion Industries, that blend of sturdy vintage machines in combination with more versatile modern tools can produce a level of craftsmanship you just won’t find elsewhere. Our team is experienced, dedicated, and highly motivated. Most of us have been in the trade for decades, including company owner Keith Stillion who has been a machinist since the age of 12 when he would help out his father with his work in the early days of the company.

Stillion Industries is a 3rd generation family owned business with roots in the Dexter/Ann Arbor area that go back over 50 years. We’ve poured a lot of sweat equity and even some blood into building this machine shop into something we’re darn proud of. Every job we take continues that tradition and honors that legacy.
